UConn Music presents a performance by the UConn Jazz Combos
The revolutionary, transformative spirit of the sixties was epitomized in jazz. This was an especially fertile and imaginative period for John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, Miles Davis, Ornette Coleman, Eric Dolphy, and innumerable others. Many innovative, seminally important albums were recorded during these years. Our UConn Jazz students will not only pay homage to these great artists, but to the ideology exemplified by this pivotal decade in America’s history.
