UConn Athletics and the Student Union Board of Governors (SUBOG) Concert Committee are set to host the first-ever collaboration of First Night x Fall Concert, presented by 97-9 ESPN Hartford and the Connecticut Army National Guard. This year's featured artist for the concert is American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer, T-Pain.
First Night x Fall Concert will remain free to attend for both UConn students and the general public. Admission is first-come, first-served. Should the evet reach full capacity, updates will be posted on the @UConnHuskies social media accounts and in the First Night Facebook event.
Floor access is available to UConn students on a first-come, first-served basis at the North Entrance. Students can begin to line up at 2 p.m. on Friday. The SUBOG Concert Committee has been staging "ticket drops" on campus this week for students to access floor tickets prior to Friday. The final drop is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 17 in the student union ballroom.
This year the First Night x Fall Concert will be the anchor event on campus during Homecoming to create more energy and buzz around campus during one of the biggest traditions on college campuses that celebrates current students and alumni. For the first time as part of the programming, the Homecoming Court will be introduced and the Homecoming Competition winners will be announced at First Night.
Also new this year are three $10,000 half-court shot opportunities. Three lucky UConn students will be drawn to take a half-court shot for the chance to win $10,000. To enter, students can submit a registration form at the North Entrance upon entry to Gampel.
Some First Night favorites make a return this year:
Starting at 5 p.m., the first 300 fans to sign up and receive a wristband at the South Entrance can participate in a selfie session with both the Men's & Women's basketball teams. Sign up is first-come, first-served until capacity is reached.
Fans can pick up an exclusive First Night poster at all entrances
The UConn Spirit team and Drumline will perform before player introductions
