The Mansfield Downtown Partnership presents
Dust Hat
On Thursday, August 26, the Mansfield Downtown Partnership will host a free concert by Dust Hat, a New Haven, CT rock 'n' roll band as charred as the pizza. This all-ages concert will take place from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Betsy Paterson Square in Downtown Storrs.
Since 2016 Brendan Toller, Jeff Slocum, Dan Soto and Rob Ruby have been dizzying audiences with their style of party time pop sharing stages with the likes of the Flamin' Groovies, the Schizophonics, Deniz Tek, and many more. In 2020 they rose to new heights by playing the roof of Cafe Nine in an inventive, distanced, outdoor pandemic show. They have self-released an EP and a full length LP Come Back produced by Chris Ruggiero.
This event is free and open to everyone.
Guests are invited to bring a blanket or a lawn chair and are welcome to either pick-up some take-out from one of our great Downtown Storrs restaurants or bring your own snacks. Alcohol and tobacco products are prohibited on the Square.
HEALTH & SAFETY: At this time, masks are not required by the State of Connecticut for outdoor events. Guests who choose to wear a mask are welcome to do so. All guests are asked to seat themselves with 6 feet between parties.
Please note: As of August 12, The Town of Mansfield requires everyone - regardless of vaccination status - to wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth when indoors at public buildings and private businesses. Read more here.
RAIN DATE: Tuesday, August 31
PARKING: Parking in the Downtown Storrs Parking Garage is free for the first two hours and $1 per hour thereafter, with a daily maximum charge of $8. The garage is about a two-minute walk to Betsy Paterson Square.
